Joined OKC Ballet in 2021
Savannah Payne, from Houston, Texas, trained with Allegro West Academy of Dance for six years. She then went on to dance at Next Generation Ballet (NGB) with Peter Stark, Philip Neal, Ivonne Lemus, and the NGB faculty. She later trained with Ballet West Academy alongside Peter Merz and the Ballet West Faculty.
Payne joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a trainee in 2020, was named OKCB ll in 2021, and promoted to apprentice in 2023. Payne's repertoire includes works by George Balanchine, Robert Mills, Septime Webre, and Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye. Her favorite roles include 1st Movement Purple Girls in Western Symphony, Aurora’s Friends in The Sleeping Beauty, and Flamingos in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland).
